J'ai trouvé un script sur internet présenté à une conférence du Siggraph qui permet de générer automatiquement des particules en fonction du foam de l'ocean shader.Evidemment, il faut l'adapter à la scène en modifiant le script, j'y parviens facilement et ca marche super bien.
Je décide de tester l'ecume et les gerbes d'ecumes sur la scène du phare d'Armen, avant de l'adapter sur la scène de la pointe du raz.
Je pensais que mes connaissances basiques en rendu de particule me permettraient de mettre en point facilement l'écume réaliste de l'océan... Et bien non.Je décide d'utiliser des particules hardwares qui rendent vite et bien dans le Hardware renderer de Maya. Malheureusement, leurs masquent sont déplorablent de précision et ne prennent pas un compte le diplacement de l'ocean.
Bref, je décide après de multiples essais déprimants de passer aux particules software, lentes au rendu mais précises. J'utilise le Cloud qui je map en fractal en transparence. Je me rend compte au rendu de l'anim que j'utilise un radiusPP trop élévé qui fait un effet boulloche horrible (typique des particules d'amateur). J'enrage. Utiliser des particules plus fines impliquent d'en mettre plus donc d'augementer les calculs... Je décide de m'orienter vers la techniques des particules-émetteurs.
